Host Requirements

To help create a great experience for hosts and organisers alike on VenueScanner, all hosts are required to meet these standards for their listings.

Users

Be responsive

Ensure you respond to 100% of enquiries within 8 hours, although best practice to drive bookings is to respond within 4 hours.

Venue

Ensure your profile is up to date

We want to connect you to the most relevant enquiries, so make sure that your event tags, pricing, capacity and opening times are accurately updated.

Bookings

Mark your bookings

We don’t prevent you from exchanging contact information over the platform. In return, we expect you to mark your bookings in the VenueScanner inbox. If VenueScanner discovers that an unmarked booking has taken place through conversations with organisers on the platform, you will receive 1 warning before removal.

Heart

Be polite and respectful

Respond to your enquiries as if the person was standing in front of you and your boss was watching.

Overpayment

Keep on top of your finances

We recommend that you take a deposit on all bookings through VenueScanner. Please see details below on VenueScanner’s invoicing policy for hosts on commission plans.

Hosts who meet the above requirements will receive a boost in the VenueScanner search rankings. Conversely, hosts who do not meet the requirements will be subject to penalties by appearing lower in search results.

Your performance data will appear in your dashboard so you can track your success.
